Farewell, Gary Moore

Not quite a year left legend heavy metal Ronnie James Dio, and as we get more bad news. This time he has touched Gary Moore, known to have belonged to the legendary rock band of Thin Lizzy and his solo hits, especially in its more bluesy side.

Extract lastfm.com :
Gary Moore was born on April 4, 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. One of the most renowned guitarists in the world, bringing out their talents in the band led by Phil Lynott, Thin Lizzy.

Gary started playing in a band called The Boys, but soon, with sixteen years of age, decided to form Skid Row (not to be confused with Skid Row, banda glam / heavy rock), accompanied by Brendan Shields (bass), Noel Bridgeman (drums) and Phil Lynott (vocals). The latter is the one who later formed the band Thin Lizzy, as he recorded with Peter Green, Fleetwood Mac guitarist

Before his solo career, he recorded three albums with Skid Row. Shortly after filming the first of these, Grinding Stone in 1973, had been invited to replace Eric Bell, Thin Lizzy, a band that came to be for a short time before going solo. In 1975 he created Colosseum II, while Gary rejoins Thin Lizzy. The first album he recorded with them is Black Rose in 1979. In the middle of a tour of America, Moore once again quit the band and a G-Force. Parisienne Walkways The Back on the Streets, would become top ten in the UK charts.

During the 80 'live a quieter time, turning to pop, when it gets its greatest popularity in England with Empty Rooms LP in 1985. Also works with Phil Lynott in "Out in the Fields." Gary

always been influenced by Celtic music. The album After the War he placed in the charts, with the help of Still Got the Blues. Aside from the hard rock, it becomes more intimate and gives a sharp turn toward the blues, with a more instrumental and great vocal arrangements.
Gary Moore has died today February 6, 2011 at the luxurious Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona in full Costa del Sol, in Malaga while sleeping .

I recommend listening to the album Still got the blues , if you have not already done so, the best of what we learned from this guitar legend.
