Most people are known by the VLC media player , but few know the history of VideoLAN project created at the École Centrale Paris with the aim of providing multimedia solutions . This project began in 1996 but it was not until 2001 , thanks to an agreement, it became open source , and since then has spent a decade and are better than ever.
For these celebrate 10 years we have prepared 10 surprises, ideas and stories we can see from the web event. And have left us the first story, where we read how it started this project so that it became open source in 2001.
